Ambassador Ahmed Abdel-Latif CCCPA Director, Visits ADMiR to Explore Future Cooperation Opportunities

The African Disaster Mitigation Research Center (ADMiR) at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) welcomed Ambassador Ahmed Abdel-Latif, Director-General of the Cairo International Centre for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping, and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), on a visit to discuss potential areas for collaboration in disaster resilience and conflict mitigation.
Ambassador Abdel-Latif was greeted by NRIAG President Prof. Taha Rabeh, who presented him with the NRIAG honorary shield in recognition of his contributions to regional peace and security. Following the welcome ceremony, Prof. Mohamed ElGabry, Director of ADMiR, led the Ambassador on a comprehensive tour of the Center's laboratories, operations room, and other facilities, showcasing ADMiR's capabilities in natural disaster monitoring, geospatial technology, advanced research and Capacity Building.
The visit concluded with a discussion, attended by Prof. Hatem Odah, and Prof. Gad El-Qady, senior advisors at ADMiR. Together, they explored collaborative possibilities in crisis management, data sharing, and capacity-building initiatives to enhance resilience across African and Arab regions.
